My Height is 5’8

My weight is 132 (on season) and 138 (off)

My Astrological Sign is Libra

I grew up in Bayside, New York and still reside there today.

In high school I was a rambunctious energetic teenager. I competed in swimming, track and field and dance. I went on to go to college and law school and later open my own practice. Yet my love of fitness and health and my unresounding energy brought me back to what I love the most – training.

I decided to compete in figure competitions because I needed motivation to regain my fitness level of my youth and being on stage in front of hundreds of people ensured I continued to hit the gym religiously and eat properly. Now I just love competing!

My first figure competition was the New England Natural Bodybuilding Figure and Fitness Championships in April 2006. I finished sixth out of 11 women in the tall class. I was so nervous; my knees were shaking the entire time I was on stage. Aside from the nervousness, it was a great experience, and I am glad I finally did it.

I love training my arms. They are so easy to train and I see results quickly.

I hate training my legs; I always have.

I’m told that I have beautiful eyes. Hey what about the arms???

The question I am asked most is how do you do it all?

The answer is I wake up in the morning and live life to the fullest until I pass out at night! I am here now- life is too short- I want to live it to the fullest!

I would love to workout with Alicia Marie Denson. She is amazing, funny and one of the sweetest people I have ever met. After meeting her in person at Camp Savage, I knew I wanted to pursue a fitness lifestyle.

My favorite cheat food is anything sweet!!!

My favorite books are Saloms Lot by Steven King – scared me to death! I love a great scary book!

My favorite movies are The Lord of the Rings Trilogies! I can watch them over and over again!

My favorite TV shows are LOST and The Bachelor. I never grow up!

My favorite CD is just about any type of music other than heavy metal. I can listen to classical in the morning and disco at night! Just depends on my mood!

Outside the gym I enjoy naps and walking my dogs!

My dream vacation would be a cruise around the world for 180 days. I need to see and experience the world at least once in my life. I will do it- I just have to figure out when!

If I won a million dollars, I would more than likely not change a thing! I would just plan my trip around the world a little sooner!

THE STORY OF ME – by Becky Wenner

So I have made a decision – to open myself up to to the world and tell you all about my personal journey in hopes that it will inspire you to forge ahead with your dreams and goals (whether they are for health, wellness, fitness, a great body, work whatever).

Each week, on my blog, I post a little story from the journey of my life and my quest for fitness, health, well being and happiness. The most important message I am trying to convey is you are NOT alone- we ALL have to start somewhere! I feel and experience a lot of the same things you do when it comes to food, exercise and life; but because I am a well known fitness trainer, people do not understand that.

I want to de bunk the illusion that being fit, exercising and eating right comes naturally and easy to me. I want to let you in to see that no matter which path you choose in life, you will face obstacles, and challenges. It is how you overcome them that defines who you are.

I want to share my journey with you, and so here is part of my story:
Summer 2005: I am an attorney, with my own law firm, successful, busy, in a great marriage, comfortable home life, but missing something. I am not over weight….I am just uncomfortable, unfit and feeling not pretty or good about myself at all. No matter what clothes I put on, I am just not happy.

At this time, the extreme make over shows were popular, and I was finding myself wishing I could just do an extreme make over (BTW- this is NOT a healthy thought, and I knew it but still secretly wished for it).

So I am sitting in bed one night in August of 2005, watching my MTV jibberish and on comes the show TRUE LIFE. The episode is about a Harvard Grad student, who has a body like mine and they follow her on a 12 week journey to her first fitness competition. I watched the entire episode! An intelligent, super busy woman, who makes time for exercise, learns how to eat right and in 12 weeks has a body I would die for! NO PLASTIC surgery, no extreme workouts…..That was it! I was determined and my mind was made up.

And so began my quest for the ultimate body!

The 'Before' picture is from September 1 2005. And the 'After' pic is of me on stage 8 months later at my first fitness competition. It took me a little longer than the 12 weeks on the show….but that is because I made the life changes at my own pace.

Through the above picture that my husband took of me- I was able to maintain focus and achieve my goal of entering my first figure competition, getting the body of my dreams and ultimately finding the guts to change my life in ways that made ME happy.

Stay Focused Until the Miracle Happens!
